FAQ
What happens if we need to reschedule or cancel?
We are incredibly flexible with rescheduling and cancellation. If we cannot find a date that works for both of us then the session will remain on file as a non-non-tranferrable credit for 1 year.
Is payment due at booking?
100% is required at booking for individual sessions. For The bundle package you'll pay for $399 and then the remaining balance 1 week after your maternity session.
When should we have our newborn session?
It is typically recommended to have your session between 7-21 days after baby arrives.
Closer to 7 days if you prefer that sleepy baby look with their eyes closed laying still.
Closer to 21 days if you want baby and family to be more settled in and less interruptions to feed.
We typically schedule a session as a placeholder date within that range and adjust as needed.
We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?
No worries! I come prepared with ideas and have an incredible amount of patience. If you have any ideas you'd like to try out you can make a Pinterest board or just shoot the examples over to me.
Do you retouch images?
Yes- from fly aways, to stains, to baby acne(or dad acne) we will get your fam looking their best. If you have any specific requests the day of make sure to point it out so I catch them when editing.
Can we do the newborn shoot at another location other than my home?
Yes absolutely- if we are doing an outdoor session I'd recommend you wait until baby is closer to 3-4 weeks. You should also keep in mind the temp- babies do not respond well to cold or even cooler temps.
We can also find a studio rental which is typically around $100 per hour of usage.
What are lifestyle newborn photos?
Lifestyle newborn photos are natural, in-home sessions that focus on real connection and genuine moments rather than heavily posed or prop-based setups. Instead of studio backdrops and intricate baby poses, we capture your baby in the comfort of your home — being held, snuggled, and loved by parents and siblings. The result is a relaxed, timeless gallery that tells the story of your family in this sweet new season.
If you are looking for posed newborn photos with props I would recommend searching the web for "Jacksonville prop newborn photography." Keep in mind the prices of those types of sessions are typically structured to where you pay a sitting fee for the 2-3 hours and then buy each image which can start around $75 per image.
What is the typical turn around time?
You usually have your photos within 7-10 days. If I expect it will take longer I'll shoot you a message.
