The magic of our Boneyard Beach

Angelia and Sven’s couple session at Big Talbot Island was nothing short of magical. Known for its stunning driftwood and coastal charm, this spot is a favorite of mine—and for good reason. Even after dozens of sessions here, the combination of love, light, and nature always brings something new, and Angelia and Sven made it truly unforgettable.

Walk, walk, magic, and then walk again.

The journey to the perfect spot at Big Talbot Island is part of what makes the experience so special. After a scenic 10 minute walk down the main trail and another short 10-minute trek along the beach, we arrived at my favorite hidden gem. This spot is unlike any other on the island, with sunlight pouring through in a way that creates the most magical backdrop. It’s a bit of a secret, but whenever possible, I take my clients there—it’s always worth the extra effort.

Where the light breaks through

The light in this spot is truly something special. It filters perfectly through a cluster of large driftwood trees, casting a warm, golden glow that feels almost otherworldly. Standing there, it’s easy to forget you’re on a beach in Jacksonville—it’s as if you’ve been transported to another place entirely, where nature and light work together to create pure magic.

On Photons and Neurons

Hiring a photographer is more than just finding someone with technical skills—it’s choosing someone who has a deep, almost spiritual connection with light. Knowing where to place and pose someone, how to use the light to tell a story, is what transforms a good photo into something extraordinary. It’s this emotional connection to both the moment and the setting that separates the average from the truly amazing.
